Since our trailer was inspired by The Blair Witch Project,
our film would have to be set in the woods and include a group of people (young
adults) going camping.
The original idea was; a man, no one knew if he was real or
not, scoured the woods of Acle. He is known to harm anyone that disturbs his
woods, as he played there when he was a child. He is distinctive due to the
teddy bear he always carrys with him – people believed it to be alive and that
he took orders from it which is also a reason why he killed visitors. Others
believed he was insanely mentally ill and had escaped an asylum, thus getting
lost and ending up in the woods all his life.
The teenagers which go camping in the woods have no clue
about this legend – they’re just going for a weekend away. Then one of the
teenagers spots him and screams. The rest of the group (all but one, who stays
at the camp to keep guard) go to see what’s happened. Then when they return to
camp, the person on guard is dead. They all start panicking and then they know
they’re not safe anymore. One problem, they can’t find a way out. Their phones
are dead, they have no sense of direction as they’re in the middle of the
forest and they relied on their phones for navigation.
One by one, they all get killed until the final girl is left
to defend herself. She needs to find a way to escape and fast – she realises
she has 1% battery left on her phone which lasts for about 1 minute, and she
has 1 bar of signal; she needs to use her time to make a call quickly and get
help. But the call dies halfway through. Has she successfully called for help
or was it not enough? And if she was too late, does she not find a way out
herself?
